Involving Bruno-Pyatt:
The Ozark Mountain School District has been evaluating the Bruno-Pyatt Campus for future viability. One of the issues the district addressed earlier this spring was the occurrence of mold in the basement. The district contracted with a company to remediate the lower level; however, the issue has returned. Therefore, as a proactive measure, we are having environmental testing performed throughout the building.

Additionally, we are working with our facilities consultant and the Division of Public School Academic Facilities to determine what work must be completed and to obtain cost estimates before the building can be reopened for possible use.

As a precaution, we are limiting access to the building to OMSD administration and maintenance personnel, as well as individuals conducting authorized inspections.

We appreciate your cooperation and attention to this matter. As always, we will keep you informed of our findings and the steps necessary to move forward.
