Eli's Law – Notice of Intent to Destroy Audio Recordings
Pursuant to Arkansas Code § 6-21-122 (Eli's Law), Ozark Mountain School District provides notice of its intent to destroy audio recordings made pursuant to Eli's Law.
📅 RECORDING RETENTION
Audio recordings from locker rooms and changing areas are retained for a minimum of 90 days and no longer than 12 months, unless they may be used as evidence concerning an allegation of wrongdoing.
🔔 NOTICE REQUIREMENT
At least ten (10) days before an audio recording is destroyed, the district will post a notice of intent to destroy the recording on this website.
🛡 ACCESS RESTRICTIONS
Requests for audio recordings may only be made by a district/charter administrator or a parent, legal guardian, or person standing in loco parentis who presents an allegation of wrongdoing.
📁 EXCEPTIONS
Audio recordings will not be destroyed if they may be used as evidence concerning an allegation of wrongdoing.
